Product Description

SELVA PMI foam can be used as the core material of high performance composite materials, which can simplify the process and shorten the process, and solve the problems of thick cells, easy moisture absorption and easy debonding of honeycomb core material, and solve the problems of low strength, low modulus and low heat resistance of general foam core material. 

The performance advantages of PMI are: 
High mechanical properties: with high specific strength, high specific modulus, its pull Tensile, compression, bending, shear and other strengths, modulus and hardness Far better than PVC, PU, PET and other foam or light wood core materials, and Isotropic, can improve strength, improve rigidity, reduce weight. 

Crosslinking structure of high thermal performance: the unique and imide ring structure, thermal deformation temperature of 20 CTC, high temperature stability and good pressure resistance, high temperature compression creep is small, can satisfy the temperature more than 13 CTC maximum 20 CTC heat moulding or vacuum autoclave curing molding process, shorten the process time, improve production efficiency, improve the structure performance. 

High obturator rate:
the obturator rate is 95% ~ 98%. It is used for compound sandwich structure, which can avoid moisture absorption and degumming problems of honeycomb core material, improve safety and prolong service life. Because of its high obturator ratio and water pressure resistance, it can be used as underwater buoyancy material. High closure rate and fine uniform bubble hole, also make the material with good sound insulation, heat insulation, moisture resistance. 

Easy bonding:
suitable for epoxy, unsaturated polyester, double horse resin and other resin systems, high bonding strength. 
Processing convenience: it is convenient for machining and can be bent and shaped into various surfaces under heating conditions, which improves the design freedom. 

Fatigue resistance:
the unique molecular structure endows it with good fatigue resistance, especially suitable for the composite sandwich structure which can bear dynamic load. The service life of the sandwich structure made with fiber reinforced materials is several times longer than that of metal products. 
Dielectric properties and aluminum equivalent: low dielectric constant, low dielectric loss over a wide frequency range, good electrical insulation, suitable for radar installation. Low aluminum equivalent, suitable for medical device industry.
