Super Foaming Epoxy Sheet S50
S50 is an elastomer reinforced epoxy resin based ultra high times foam, the starting
temperature is 100ºC, 150ºC maximum, the density can be as low as 40 kg/m3, isotropic,
good adhesion with epoxy prepreg interface, no need to brush glue or adhesive, instead of
PU foam can effectively improve the rear section of the coating bulging problem. It is mainly
used for preformed high closed cell rate foam core material, used for carbon fiber products
secondary molding handle, knife wheel, disc wheel, paddle, hydrofoil, unmanned aerial
vehicle and other special-shaped parts.
Usage: the mold is preheated to 60-80ºC, the mold is coated with release agent, and the foam
is sliced into the mold. The slices need to be spread to all parts of the mold. Where the mold
cavity is thick, more materials need to be added, the mold is locked, and the mold is pressed
at 150ºC for 5~15min. Cooling to 80ºC mold, paste carbon cloth secondary molding, above
120ºC will expand, provide expansion force, secondary mold still need to cool to 80ºC mold,
coating temperature should not exceed 100ºC.
Storage condition: can be stored at 25ºC for 3 months. The shelf life below 5ºC is 12 months.
